Micropiles: 84 piles, 65mm diameter
Minipiles: 81 piles, 215mm diameter

Underpinning of the historical Holy Infant Jesus Chapel prior to excavation of the new MRT Tunnels. The micro- and mini-piles were drilled through loose sands and hard boulder clay, the project also includes the construction of the prestressed collars around the Chapel columns and the reinforced concrete slab. In order to prepare for the works extensive precautions were taken to ensure that the fabric of the building was not damaged during the works and many of the old tiles were removed for safe storage and replaced on completion.

Bachy Soletanche were also involved in the diaphragm wall as part of the further development of CHIJMES to bring it to the standard it is today.
